THE VILLAS AT BROOKESTONE MEADOWS | Vetter Health Services
The Villas at Brookestone Meadows were designed to provide independent living homes on the existing Brookestone Meadows campus in Elkhorn, NE. Currently under construction, the villas were designed to create an inviting community with four different exterior options and interiors intentionally designed for aging-in-place using the Cure Home specifications. These homes were designed for function, style, comfort and aging-in-place for a new generation of seniors.

STRATFORD | Eastmont
Our firm’s initial engagement with this project was to serve as the local architect, providing support services to a nationally recognized architectural firm with a senior housing specialty. During this phase, we provided onsite coordination of the proposed design with the existing conditions, developed background drawings for all existing conditions and worked with regulatory government officials to ensure the design complied with codes and construction guidelines.
In early 2021, our engagement changed from a consultant to the Architect of Record. In our new role, we became responsible for the development of all Contract Documents for the project. We worked with the Owner and the Contractor to finalize the design, detail the construction and secure local building permits to ensure an immediate construction start.
Project Type: New Construction (150,000 sq. ft.) and Remodel (13,000 sq. ft.)

PRAIRIE RIDGE | Eastmont
In addition to design services for the Prairie Ridge project, our services included an Architectural Analysis Study for preliminary programming, a Precedent Study (to review architectural styles) and the management and coordination of civil engineering services, land attorneys and the City of Lincoln Planning Department. Our firm negotiated special use permit provisions that were acceptable to the Owner and the surrounding neighbors in order to secure annexation by the City.
The schematic design for all buildings and site development was coordinated with an overall project construction budget and schedule that was used by the Owner’s project developer in creating a capital expenditure schedule and operating budget. Ultimately, the Owner decided that the expansion and improvement of their existing main campus better served their mission and long-term goals and the Prairie Ridge project was discontinued in the design development phase.
Project Type: New Construction
Contract for Construction: Construction Management at Risk
Project Budget: $36 – $60,000,000

MEADOWLARK POINTE | Cozad Health
Jeff Ahl, Principal, worked with Meadowlark Pointe in 2005 to help with a design to develop land for several projects including an assisted living, skilled nursing and market rate housing for sale (not age restricted). The first phase of the development included a design for a new 24 home assisted living building. That project was constructed and has maintained full occupancy on a consistent basis.
Due in large part to the demand for expanded housing at Meadowlark Pointe, arCuretecture was hired in 2016 to design an addition to the original building to add more assisted living apartments and memory support assisted living homes. This project also provides many interior amenities including an enclosed parking garage for all residents, a commercial kitchen and dining area, game rooms, resident bar, living rooms, snack stations, storm shelters and administrative spaces for meetings and consultation.
Project Type: New Construction Addition of 26,800 sq. ft.
Contract for Construction: Construction Management at Risk
Project Budget: $5,000,000
